Episode synopsis[]
Inspired by Alex Haley's "Roots," Fred orders a family crest and genealogical scroll that states he's African royalty and a descendant of the Jewish Ethiopian Falashas.
Episode summary[]
Evidently inspired by the TV miniseries Roots, Fred is convinced that he is a descendant of none other than King Solomon. And how did this "revelation" come about? Well, it seems that Fred shelled out big money (a whole 25 dollars) to a family-tracing service -- who told him that he is the ancestor of a famous Jewish historical figure.
Note: Milton Selzer appears as Sam Gittleman, Jewish shop owner. John Hawker makes an appearance as the mailman, and Will Gill, Jr. and James Mendenhall both appear as shop cutomers.
